When a customer has a shipment requiring tracking, as a carrier/driver you have two options to start the monitoring process.
Shipper will ask the user/driver to open the LoadWatcher app on their device and verbally provide them with a unique BOL# passcode. On the application the user/driver will need to select “New Monitor” button from their home page. User/drivers is required to enter that BOL# into the app on their device in order for that monitor to begin. Once the user has accepted the terms and starts load, the shipper will receive status email updates throughout the run for every event. (i.e. start, check in/out, location, and POD & BOL image.)
Shipper will ask the user/driver for their phone number to enter into their dashboard when creating a new monitor. Once shipper has entered all shipment details, the user will receive a text message with the unique passcode/BOL# that the user/driver will need to enter into the app. Once the user/drivers has accepted the request to be monitored, the customer will then have access to the whereabouts of that user/drivers throughout the entire run. (If the user has not downloaded the LoadWatcher app on his/her device they will be provided a link to do so directly from the text message sent through the system.
